Bantabami

What is Bantabami

  • We are a Christian, non-profit organization, seeking to share the love of Christ in practical ways
  • Our focus is on helping children suffering from or affected by HIV/AIDS
  • We support the care givers of these children by:
  • …building relationships with them
  • …channeling resources to them
  • We encourage participation by the local church and wider community by:
  • …Raising awareness of the plight of those affected by HIV/AIDS
  • …involving them in our projects

Our ministry of children continues in four communities within the greater PMB area. These are Sobantu, Sweetwaters, Imbali 2 and Ashdown. At present we provide R6000 worth of food parcels to these communities on a monthly basis. these parcels are delivered to up to 40 granny-headed homes where the orphan children live. Each of these grannies are responsible for anything from one to four orphan children. In most cases their sole source of income is the state pension of R1080.

About Us

Bantabami is a registered trust with audited books of accounts. All administration costs are absorbed by the members themselves, which means 100% of donations received are applied to our various projects. Bantabami has been in existence since 1998, and we conduct our activities under the auspices and guidance of Holy Trinity, Pietermaritzburg.
